Tweety Piolin Takes the Throne -- The World's New Tiniest Pup

Miracle Milly has held the title of the World’s Tiniest Puppy since 2012, but no longer! She was surpassed in 2019 by her niece, Tweety Piolin, who stands 2.5 inches tall- a whopping 1.3 inches shorter than Milly. Tweety broke the World Record on July 18, 2019.

As cute as a button, Tweety Piolin is a white and chocolate brown chihuahua who weighs a featherlight 6 ounces. She was born on January 1, 2019 and hails from Kissimme, FL where she lives with her mom, Ms. Vanessa Semler. Ms. Semler is Milly’s mom, too- she must be so proud!

Having pups as cute and as small as Tweety and Milly may sound like a dream, but remember; with a tiny pup comes great responsibility. The smaller the dog, the tinier the bladder, and

the more frequent the potty breaks. Housebreaking an ultra small puppy must be a herculean effort, firstly because of the frequency and secondly, because they’re likely hard to catch in the act (being as small as they are).

It’s always a good idea to have an indoor pet potty for little accidents that are bound to happen in those crucial first potty training months. A wee wee pad is a great option starting out! As they get older, they will still be about the same size- as will their bladder. It might be difficult for a working dog parent to give their tiny pup all of the walks they need to relieve themselves and be comfortable.

We suggest keeping an indoor bathroom option on hand like Bark Potty so that your ultra small furbaby can always have a place to "go".
